Sony Alpha 7S III

The Sony Alpha 7S III (Sony A7S III)

It is a full-frame mirrorless camera released by Sony in July 2020. It is designed for professional videographers and photographers who prioritize low-light performance and video capabilities. The camera comes with great features such as

Here are some key features and specifications of the Sony A7S III:

Sensor:

It has a 12.1-megapixel full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology. The lower resolution sensor combined with larger pixel size allows for excellent low-light performance and dynamic range.

Image Processor:

This camera is powered by the BIONZ XR image processor, it delivers fast image processing speeds and improved noise reduction capabilities.

ISO Range:

The A7S III offers an impressive native ISO range of 80-102400, expandable to 40-409600. It excels in low-light conditions, enabling photographers and videographers to capture clean and detailed images even in challenging lighting situations.

Video Recording:

The A7S III is highly regarded for its video capabilities. It supports internal 4K recording at up to 120 frames per second, and full HD recording at up to 240 frames per second. It provides 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling and supports the efficient XAVC S codec. It also offers various video features like S-Log3, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), and 16-bit RAW output via HDMI.

Autofocus:

The camera features a hybrid autofocus system with 759 phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) points that cover approximately 92% of the sensor. It offers improved autofocus tracking, real-time Eye AF, and animal tracking.

In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS):

The A7S III incorporates a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system that compensates for camera shake, allowing for smoother handheld shooting and improved stability when using non-stabilized lenses.

Viewfinder and LCD:

It has a high-resolution 9.44-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a fully articulating 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen.

Connectivity:

The camera offers various connectivity options, including USB-C, HDMI Type-A, headphone and microphone ports, and dual memory card slots (both supporting UHS-II SD cards).

The Sony A7S III is highly regarded for its exceptional low-light capabilities, impressive video features, and overall performance. However, I recommend visiting the official Sony website or reputable photography sources for the latest updates and detailed specifications on the A7S III, as there may have been firmware updates or newer models released since my knowledge cutoff in September 2021.
